Haye Heerten is a live video artist with strong tendencies to programming and system integration. He loves to arrange complex systems which are running in real-time and tend to overemphasize some of their inherent fuzziness to an extreme extent. Suddenly they unveil an overwhelming amount of random behavior. Without a thorough understanding of the entirety of the system his work is a search for hidden logic and sparks of chaos. In performance situations the artist and his system engage in a dialogue, leading to unique surprises while they keep feeding each other by the energy they provide.

He studied architecture and media design at Bauhaus Universität Weimar, did a short excursion into mathematics in Berlin at Humboldt Universität and shortly thereafter entered art & media at Universität der Künste Berlin.
